Emboss Resist Card

Hello!

Second post for today! You can find the first one HERE. Sunday is nearly over and I have so much planned! How much I will manage to do remains to be seen! :)

I made another card today which was inspired by the Craft Stamper Magazine challenge 'Emboss Resist Technique' which is sponsored by WOW!. I thought I'd get mine out and play a little. I wanted to make a card that was all about nature and had the airy feel to it.

I started by inking with VersaMark through my Glitzcraft Wildflower 1 Stencil onto a white card. I heat embossed it using my white WOW! embossing powder. I sponged my Teal Zeal & Bahama Blue Memento inks over the top and added some shading with my Walnut Stain Distress ink. I added some water splatters and stamped using a lid and water to add extra interest. I also used the same Teal ink and my Prima script stamp to finish my background. I distressed the edges and made a banner the same way and stamped my sentiment with the Walnut Stain ink (Avery Elle, Petals & Stems set). I put together a piece of a natural burlap, a gauze and stapled the lot together. To finish my card I added a little wooden heart. I think it added to the natural overall look of the card.

I hope you like my card full of beautiful nature. I intend to enter this card into the following challenges:

Craft Stamper Magazine - Emboss Resist Technique (WOW!)
Country View Challenge - Stencil it!
Mixed Media Card - Touch of Nature
Scribble & Scrap Challenge Blog - Anything Goes

Thank you for stopping by! All the best,

Ingrid xxx
