Mixed media card with Brusho
Just a quick post as I have two hungry birdies to feed soon :)
I'd like to welcome my new blog buddies, it's so nice to have you here! Thank you for joining me on my creative ride :)
I have just seen this fabulous sketch on the STAMPlorations website and just couldn't resist making a big mess. This was supposed to be a CAS card, but somehow I got carried away and just couldn't stop playing once I've seen my orange toned messy brusho background (used - lemon, orange, scarlet, brilliant red). I dried and left it.
I tore a few strips of a masking tape and attached these in the top middle section of another card panel and was going to make another version in turquoise now I had the brusho crystals out (used - turquoise & ultra marine). I wasn't sure about the result after removing the tape. Basically, the idea was to mask the stripes off and create the mess around it... I will have another go later. I however liked the splodgy looking turquoise strips and as you know orange and turquoise colours are just made for each other (in my books for sure...) so I decided to add them to my messy background and this is where I started playing with stamps and my white Signo pen, added a bit of Glossy Accents to Tim's stars, die cut the sentiment out of my black glittery fun foam and mounted the panel onto my base...
I hope you like my messy card. I shall look forward to reading your thoughts. What a mess, huh?! :) Love it :)
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
STAMPlorations - bi-weekly sketch
"Just Us Girls" - #258, Watercolour (I hope you like my watercolour background)
The Mixed Media Monthly - #4 colour challenge:
Thank you for stopping by!
I have been working on a few projects that I cannot blog about so sorry if I have been a bit quiet. I will be back with something fun hopefully tomorrow or on Wednesday!
